First Day of School

Today was our official first day of Pre-School at home. My 3 year old son knows his alphabet because Daddy started teaching him with an alphabet puzzle board before he was even two years old! He learned by placing letters in their correct position on the puzzle board, then began actually memorizing the letters. They are all capitals, so we will be working on lower-case very soon.

Daddy also taught him colors & pictures using flash cards.  He then learned shapes, numbers 1-10, left & right, and is now memorizing Psalm 23. It goes something like this: "The Lord is my Hep-hewrd, I hal not haunt" Such a smart little guy!

Now, Little Sissy has to get in on the learning too. So we've pulled out the alphabet puzzle board once again! Just not so sure that learning caps only is the way to go, but at 19 months old, she can read A, B, & C. That's cuz her very smart & handsome Daddy is teaching her! :) She got to color today with a pink marker. (coloring herself more than the picture! ;)

Such fun days!

  1. Thanks to mommy who reads to them so they can learn to enjoy reading at a early age too. Love you.
